Police Charge Man in February Horse Barn Fire in Monkton, VT

MONKTON, Vt. -

Vermont State Police charged a man in connection to a February horse barn fire in Monkton, Vt.

Police say Denis White, 31, has been charged with arson.

Several people were boarding horses at the time of the fire.  None of the 14 horses were injured from the fire.

Police say all property stored at the barn was destroyed. Damage to the structure and property is estimated to be in excess of $220,000.

At the time of the fire, the farm was jointly owned by White and his wife.

White is due in court on March 25.
