RUTLAND, Vt. -
Police seized various drugs from an apartment in Rutland, Vt. Thursday.
Police say they found approximately 53 grams of heroin (1,669 bags), marijuana, and more than $5,200 cash in an apartment on East Street. During their investigation, 9 additional bags were found and $500 more in cash.
Police say they arrested Isaiah Hakin Bilal,19, of Bronx, N.Y., who was staying at the apartment and Nicole Smith, 39, of Rutland Vt.
Bilal is being charged with heroin trafficking, sale of heroin, and possession of marijuana.
Smith is being charged with conspiracy to traffic heroin, sale of heroin, and possession of heroin. She was lodged at MVRCC in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Bilal and Smith are scheduled to be arraigned on these charges in Rutland Superior Court on Friday.
