On Monday, New York Fair officials narrowed down a list of fair themes for the 2013 Great New York State Fair.
A press release says the 10 themes for the fair are: • Come Relish in the Riches of NY • Fresh, Fun, Local • Grandeur at its Greatest • Grounds for Discovery • Harvest of an Empire • Harvest the Feeling • Home Grown and World Class • Sharing the Bounty and Pride of NY • We Grow the Best for All the Rest • Where Culture Meets Agriculture
"If this contest proved one thing, it's that New Yorkers are excited about having a voice in the greatest State Fair in the nation," said Commissioner Aubertine. "This was the first step in this contest and we very much appreciate all the great initial support and feedback from our fellow New Yorkers."
The Department of Agriculture and Markets received more than 500 theme suggestions.
