Members of the New York State Police and other law enforcement agencies are training in Lake Placid, N.Y. Thursday.
Police say they will focus on an active shooter situation.
Police will learn how to tactically enter a building and terminate actions of an active shooter. This includes room and stairwell clearing techniques and ways to work as a team in this type of scenario.
Training is being taught by instructors from the New York State Preparedness Training Center.
