"EveryoneOn" Helping Disconnected Americans in a Digital Age

Posted: Updated:

The group Connect2Compete will launch a nationwide campaign to increase digital literacy. It's called "EveryoneOn." And it's a way, to bridge the growing economic and digital divide.

Burlington is joining forces with other communities to help bridge that gap. One of the ways its being done is to have free digital  literacy training and discounted  high- speed internet and provide low-cost computers.

The organization says  that during a time when digital literacy is essential in today's workforce and critical for America's economic future, it's hard to believe 100 million Americans do not have a broadband connection at home, and 62 million do not use the Internet at all.
