In Vermont, the cost to clear all the snow off the roads this season has not been cheap.
The Vermont Agency of Transportation says as of Wednesday it has spent about $24-million this season. That's one-million more than expected.
The agency says winter costs are part of the yearly maintenance budget.
So overruns during winter might affect other projects from small paving to mowing.
