BURLINGTON, Vt. -
This weekend you can catch a Burlington-area St. Patrick's Day tradition, the S.D. Ireland Parade.
For 28-years, concrete mixers have hit the streets and for the past five years the parade has raised money for cancer research at UVM.
That's where Doctor David Krag is studying better treatments so cancer patients experience less side effects.
"My husband Scott is a melanoma survivor and Dr. Krag was his doctor and yeah, it's very important to us. It's very targeted and 100-percent of people's money goes to the research," says Kim Ireland.
This year they've already raised $100,000.
