Children Hurt in Tunbridge, VT School Bus Crash

Five children are hurt after a school bus crash in Tunbridge. Vermont State Police say it happened shortly after 3pm.

Police say the driver, George Braley, 63, was driving on Strafford Road when he lost control around a curve and ended in a ditch. The roads were snow covered at the time.

They say five of the 20 children on board the bus were injured and taken to two area hospitals: Gifford Medical Center and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Police say all of the injuries are non-life threatening.

Braley is under contract from the Butler Bus Company. The crash is under investigation.
