DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -

The 37 members of the St. Michael's College men's lacrosse team are now near New York City getting ready for their game against Mercy College.

The team was on its way to Mercy when it was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 87 in Clifton Park, New York Tuesday.  A passenger in a car died.

The interim head coach says the team is feeling okay. Four players were hurt though not badly.

Coach Patrick Ivory says after talking to all 34 players the decision was made to continue the road trip.

"It's a challenge especially for some of the younger guys. They're kind of on their own. For the first years, it was their first spring break. Their first long road trip really. So, they're a little shaken up but the guys have been good at supporting each other," says Ivory.

The game against Mercy was supposed to be Wednesday but has been postponed until Thursday afternoon.
