If you're looking for a way to save money on your commute, a new program may help out.
At a news conference in downtown Winooski Friday, Congressman Peter Welch and local leaders talked about "Go! Chittenden County".
Using a $500,000 dollar federal dollar grant, local leaders plan to educate people about different transportation options and improve current ones.
"If we can provide discounted bus services, if we can provide carpooling options, van pooling options, give them a park and ride to leave their car at," said Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission Member Michele Boomhower.
The money will also be used to create more bike racks around the area.
