A New York couple accused of making and selling meth woke up to police this morning.
A six month long investigation led to the arrests of 43 year old Todd Whitney and 39 year old Rhea Manion.
Police surrounded the house in Ausable early this morning, even had a helicopter hovering nearby just in case the two got violent or tried to run.

After police watched the home on Harkness Road in Ausable for half a year, they made their move Tuesday and arrested Todd Whitney and Rhea Manion for making and selling meth.
"It's dangerous to make, it's obviously dangerous for the people using it," New York State Police Lieutenant Brent Davison said.
What I've learned is that it's Rhea Mansion's grandparent's home. She was living in the garage with Todd Whitney and police say that's where they were making meth.
"They're an elderly couple, so I don't think they had any idea," Lt. Davison said.
"People would be out in the yard, fighting and screaming at each other at three 'o clock in the morning, I find it hard to believe they didn't know what was going on," Next door neighbor Victor Laclair Jr. said.
Laclair had his suspicions for more than a year, so wasn't surprised to see police swarming the house. Laclair watched the two walk out in handcuffs. Hazmat crews spent the rest of the day testing the evidence.
"They were definitely selling it; there was traffic in and out of there all night long," Laclair said.
While I was there, Whitney's son showed up, declined to do an interview but police and neighbors say they're pleased to have more drugs and addicts off the streets.
As of tonight, Todd Whitney and Rhea Manion remain in custody.
Police say they have a growing list of other suspects.
If you have any suspicions of illegal activity, report it your local police department.
