WALLINGFORD, Vt. -

Police arrested a man involved in an armed robbery at Cumberland Farms on Main Street in Wallingford, Vt. on Friday.

Police say Todd Bussino Jr., 29, of Mount Holly, Vt., approached one of the two clerks and told her that he was robbing the store and demanded the money in the drawer.

The clerk thought Bussino was kidding and asked how he planned on hurting her. Bussino told her that he couldn't tell her.

Police say no weapon was produced, but Bussino did threaten to shoot a male employee who followed him out of the store.

Bussino fled to the parking lot of the Family Dollar located just north of the Cumberland Farms. He got inside a vehicle described as being a white Chrysler Lebaron. Police say the vehicle then at a high rate of speed headed north on Creek Road in Claredon, Vt.

During an interview with police, Bussino admitted to the robbery at the Cumberland Farms Convenience store as well as attempting to rob two others in Rutland City the following morning.

Police say he told them he committed the robbery in an attempt to get money to purchase crack cocaine.

Bussino was arrested for Assault and Robbery and lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Center.
