NEWPORT, Vt. -

Recovery operations continue for a fisherman who went through the ice on Lake Memphremagog Saturday evening.

According to Vermont State Police, divers are having a hard time locating Jacques LeBlanc, 53, of Newport, Vt., due to the cold temperatures and murky conditions at the bottom of the lake.

Police received a call at approximately 7:30PM that an ice shanty and tractor went through the ice on Lake Memphremagog.

Police say ice around the state is not safe in all locations and individuals should use extreme caution as there are weak spots in the lakes due to recent warm weather.

FOX44 and ABC22 reporter Nick Natario will have more tonight on ABC22 at 6,7 and on FOX44 at 10 p.m.
