Two Men Accused of Sexual Assault and Sex Trafficking

LUDLOW, Vt. -

A man has come forward telling police he had been repeatedly sexually assaulted for the past 12 years in Ludlow, Vt. He was just 12 years old when the assaults started.

Police say the victim identified two men involved as Frank Meyer, 39, of West Haven, Conn., and Brett Bartolotta, 42, of Cavendish, Vt.

The assaults began in approximately 2001 and continued into 2012. Police say the victim continued the sexual relationship when he reached the age of consent and was also given money and gifts to keep quiet.

According to court documents, the victim said between ages 12 and 16 he had sex with Meyer 300 to 400 times and had sex with Bartolotta between 600 and 800. He had sex with Bartolotta at least 100 times here in Vermont.

Meyer and Bartolotta were arrested without incident on Wednesday. They are both being charged with aggravated sexual assault and slave trafficking charges.

Both were arraigned in Windsor County Court on Thursday. Meyer and Bartolotta are both expected to be back in court later this month

If convicted they both face life in prison.
