NORTH TROY, Vt. -
An attempted homicide investigation now underway in northern Vermont where police say a woman called 911 to report a fight between a man and a woman at her home in North Troy, Vt.
When troopers arrived there they found 40-year-old Jennifer Ahlquist inside the home holding a knife and a man on the floor bleeding from his chest.
Police say they arrested Ahlquist without incident.
Ahlquist arrived at the home unannounced and wasn't invited.
She assaulted the female homeowner then started arguing with man who she eventually stabbed.
The man was taken to the hospital and has been released.
