Burlington International Security Checkpoint About To Become Quicker

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Good news for travelers flying out of the Burlington International Airport.

One of the two security lines is about to move a little faster.

The airport knocked down a wall that gives the TSA security checkpoint area more space.

It will allow passengers to have more room, which will speed up wait time.

It's a project they've wanted to do.

"Whenever we get lines backed up there's a certain amount of stress that may be imparted on our officers which I want to alleviate on any cost," said BTV TSA Assistant Federal Security Director John Bartholf.

TSA leaders are hoping to expand the other security checkpoint later this year.

Even though there's added space they still suggest getting there two hours ahead.

The addition should be complete by May.
