Opponents to New York state's new gun control law are rallying at the New York State House Thursday.
The AP reports that opponents view the New York Safe Act as infringing on their constitutional right to bear arms.
Governor Andrew Cuomo believes the legislation is reasonable and balanced.
The rally is expected to start at noon.
The act was signed into law on January 15.
