NH Lawmakers Consider Requiring Drug Testing for All Health Care Workers

Posted: Updated:
CONCORD, N.H. -

Some lawmakers want to require drug testing for all health care workers following that hospital-based hepatitis outbreak.

The AP reports on Tuesday lawmakers gathered input on the bill which would require random tests 4 times a year.

The bill's sponsor also wants a second bill to create a registry of medical technicians.

The push comes after an Exeter Hospital employee supposedly stole drugs and infected patients with tainted needles.
