Police Make Meth Related Arrest After Traffic Stop in Champlain, NY

CHAMPLAIN, N.Y. -

New York State Police made a meth related arrest Monday night during a traffic stop in Champlain, N.Y.

Police say when they stopped Richard Paro, 37, of West Chazy, N.Y., for an inadequate plate lamp on a blue 1999 Nissan they found lye and ice packs, which is used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Paro was arrested for criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned and remanded to Clinton County jail in lieu of $500 bail.

Police say they are still investigation Paro's activities in relation to manufacturing methamphetamine.
