New York Police Arrest Two People for Recent Drug Activity

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -

New York Police arrest two people for recent drug activity.

Police say 28-year-old Ruth Santa, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested at the Rip Van Winkle Motel in Plattsburgh, N.Y. for selling drugs. Investigators found 144 bags of heroin, 49 bags of cocaine, and cash. Santa was also wanted on a parole violation for attempted murder in Bronx, N.Y.

Ruth was charged with 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was arraigned and committed to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

Police also arrested 29-year-old Christopher Morrow, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., for being in possession of 2 ounces or more of methamphetamine in his residence at 2 Overlook Circle in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Police say the charges stemmed from an investigation conducted by members of the Plattsburgh Police Department and Adirondack Drug Task Force in September 2012.

Morrow was arraigned and committed to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
