VT State Officials Worry About Decline in Hunting and Fishing Licenses

Posted: Updated:
MONTPELIER, Vt. -

With hunting at an all-time low in Vermont, state officials worry about a decline in hunting and fishing licenses.

Back in 2000, the total number of hunting licenses issued peaked at more than 100,000.

Now only 75,000 have been issued.

Officials say it is hurting the state's economy too as it brings in revenue following peeping season and before ski season.
