MONKTON, Vt. -
As we near the height of sap season, unfortunately for one man in Monkton, Vt. someone stole his 130 gallon sap container last week.
It happened on Tyler Bridge Road.
Police say the man had just purchased the container, valued at around $200, and was getting ready to use it.
"It was set out at a collection site in preparation for the sap season and it was there for about a week and when the owner went back out to check on it, it was missing," Justin Busby, of the Vermont State Police, said.
The police don't have a suspect yet, but urge anyone with information to call them at (802)-388-4919.
