Polytron Technologies Release Transparent Cell Phone Prototype

Posted: Updated:

The Taiwan division of U.S. company Polytron Technologies unveils a new prototype of a transparent cell phone.

With 6 years in the making, the phone is made out of conductive glass, making it scratch and shatter proof.

The battery is just about the only thing you can see, so the company is working on minimizing the size.

The phone is slightly bigger than the iPhone 5 and it can only be touch activated on one side.

However, images can be seen on both the front and the back.

The company plans to introduce the phone to the market by the end of the year.

Officials say it will be cheaper than the iPhone 5.
