The weekend outlook is very promising for the mountains too (February 22-25, 2013) Friday to Monday. It won't be too terribly cold. Plus.........*more snow!*
As of Friday morning's weather update, our SkyTracker Weather Team expects a widespread 4-6" accumulation for our viewing area, thus mountains can expect the higher end of that range for most. Toward Whiteface and Titus the amounts will be roughly 2-4" Saturday and Sunday, however closer to Stratton/Bromley and even Loon we can expect 8-12" by Sunday night. So it looks like the good couple of weeks will continue, especially for one resort in particular Mad River Glen. That's because the ski area had to close for a while due to thaws and limited natural snow, since that area depends on natural accumulations. But a foot this week and another 6" to come this weekend will lengthen the stretch that MRG can stay open.
