MONTPELIER, Vt. -
Some Vermont lawmakers want town clerks to report election results quicker to get them online faster.
Recently, Secretary of State Jim Condos created a website for election results.
But some towns aren't using it.
Condos says not everyone gets their results in quickly and having that change would help speed up the process.
"What we're trying to do is provide an avenue that would help alleviate that stress by providing a mechanism that would lessen the amount of interruptions and phone calls that are coming in while they're trying to complete their work," said Condos.
Condos believes the bill will be passed this session and should help with this November's election.
