Mt. Vernon, IL (PRWEB) February 21, 2013

WISPAmerica, an annual conference and tradeshow dedicated to the Wireless Internet Service Provider industry, today announced that the conference will be held from Monday, April 1 – 5, 2013 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center located in Covington, Kentucky.

The conference attracts more than 40 exhibitors and hundreds of attendees that include both fixed and wireless Internet service providers, industry vendors as well as local, state and federal regulatory entities. This year’s theme for WISPAmerica 2013 is entitled Developing Best Practices, and will discuss national spectrum efficient techniques, sharing of unlicensed and licensed spectrum and the development of cost effective ubiquitous broadband networks.

A new and important training session will be held at WISPAmerica regarding the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) regulation through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Part of the regulation is the Farm Bill Broadband Program which is designed to provide loans for funding on a technology neutral basis. The training session will help potential applicants understand the process to apply and receive funding. At the low interest rates and long-term payment structure, the program is an excellent way for service providers to receive access to the large amounts of capital needed to build or refurbish infrastructure in rural areas.

“WISPAmerica which is hosted by our member organization, WISPA, is only in its second year and has been a tremendous success,” said Richard Harnish, Executive Director of WISPA. “The conference provides training, education and regulatory insights such as the Farm Bill Broadband Program to both our members and other interested attendees.”

Early discount registration ends on Monday, February 25, 2013. For more information and to register for the event visit the WISPAmerica page on http://www.wispa.org.
