New Bill Would Protect Vermonters Who Buy a Bad Used Car

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

A new bill in the Vermont State House would protect you if you buy a bad used car.

Here's how it would work.

If you spend more than $4,000 on a car that breaks down within 30 days or 2,000 miles, the seller would have to spend at least $500 to fix it or give your money back.

The bill is currently in the House Commerce Committee.
