COLCHESTER, Vt. -
A Saint Michael's College student is still in intensive care after jumping from a bridge in Colchester, Vt. to escape police.
Police say it happened after he was seen breaking merchandise at Simon's Gas Station.
He fled on foot as security officers tried to arrest him.
He ran on to Lime Kiln Road before jumping off the bridge and falling 40 feet on to the railroad tracks below.
He was taken to Fletcher Allen for serious injuries.
