COLCHESTER, Vt. -

It's the most romantic day of the year and one couple decided to profess their love live over the airwaves.

A couple from Lyndonville won the Star 92.9 contest and had the whole celebration paid for!

I covered all of the excitement live on our morning show... Here's the recap from their big day!

It may not have matched the vision she's had since she was a little girl. "Gosh no, we had a wedding planned for July sixth!" Bride-to-be Denielle Riendeau said. But a true fairy tale none the less. For Riendeau and groom-to-be, Jason Hopkins, the opportunity to have Star 92.9 throw their wedding was too good to pass up.

"Now we can definitely focus on the house and start a family," Riendeau said.

It all started before dawn, the bride-to-be made her way into the Star studio. Make up, hair, the dress, not a detail was missing.

"I just don't feel whole when she's not around," Hopkins said.

Downstairs, the groom-to-be put the finishing touch on his tie. Then after a quick toast, it was time to walk down the aisle and into the Star DJ booth to say their vows live over the airwaves. Star's Mike and Mary were best man and maid of honor.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. Jason, you may now kiss your bride!"

They've committed to a lifetime of happiness, on-air and on Valentine's Day, but their love story started at an unlikely place.

"Well, we met at Walmart," Hopkins said.

It was love at first sight. They started dating, and then Jason went to Iraq... but they passed the long distance test and the rest is history.

Because Star listeners thought they were the couple with the best story, everything from the dress to the tux, cake, flowers, pictures, the honeymoon, even the reception at the Hampton Inn is all being paid for!

That's where the first dance as husband and wife will forever be remembered.

I asked, "Do you love that your anniversary will be February 14th?" The new Mrs. Hopkins laughed and said, "yea, I'm never going to forget it!"

More than a hundred couples signed up for the radio station's wedding contest.

It was narrowed down to five and then the listeners voted!

Jason and Denielle's honeymoon will be at the Stoweflake Resort.
