MALONE, N.Y. -
The Franklin County District Attorney's Office held its second gun buyback Tuesday in Malone, Chateaugay, Dickinson and Hogansburg, N.Y.
A press release says there were 33 handguns, 3 assault rifles, 8 shotguns, 21 rifles and number of high capacity magazines collected at the buyback.
"Yesterday we more than surpassed our expectations by removing a total of 65 unwanted guns off our streets," District Attorney Derek P. Champagne said.
The total number of guns turned in during the buybacks so far, is 101 with almost 50 being handguns.
