Two Arrested For Stealing Backpacks From Dining Hall at St. Michael's College

COLCHESTER, Vt. -

The Colchester Police Department arrested two individuals for a burglary at St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vt.

Police say Michael S. Pappas, 31, of Burlington, Vt., and Christopher Desjardin, 30, of Colchester, Vt. are accused of going into St. Michael's College's Alliott Dining Hall and stealing backpacks containing textbooks and computers. The two would then sell the items to support their drug habits.

According to police, Pappas and Desjardin are suspected in similar incidents on the University of Vermont campus.

Some of the items have been recovered from the two and police are working to collect additional items.

Pappas has been lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Center on unrelated reasons. Desjardin has been ordered to appear in Court on February 19, 2013 for these offenses.
