CONCORD, N.H. -

New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan is asking for residents to be off the roads by 7 p.m., when the worst of the snowstorm is expected to hit the state.

Hassan joined state agency officials at a Friday afternoon news conference to provide an update on the state's response to the storm.

While as much as 2 feet of snow is expected in parts of the state, Hassan said large or widespread power outages are not anticipated.

The state's Emergency Operations Center is being staffed as of 4 p.m. Friday and will remain so for the duration of the storm.
