CONCORD, N.H. -

New Hampshire's House is considering raising the beer tax.

The AP reports that the current tax is 30 cents per gallon and paid at the wholesale level. The money from the increase would go to alcohol abuse and prevention treatment.

Majority of the House Ways and Mean Committee will recommend killing the bill when it reaches the House floor Wednesday. Gov. Maggie  Hassan has promised to veto the bill.
