PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Police arrested and charged a New York State trooper at the Plattsburgh barracks with two counts of rape in the first degree Tuesday afternoon.
Police say two female victims that knew 32-year-old Trevor J. Donah, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., accused him of raping them.
FOX44 and ABC22 reporter Nick Natario picked up court documents
Wednesday morning. The documents accuse Donah of two incidents, the first taking place in June 2010 in Beekmantown and the second happening in
September 2012 in the City of Plattsburgh.
Donah was arraigned in the City of Plattsburgh court and was remanded to the Clinton County Jail on $50,000 bail, $100,000 bond. A press release says temporary orders of protection were issued at the time of the arraignment.
Although the crimes occurred in Clinton County, the Honorable Kevin Ryan, Clinton County Court Judge, has appointed Franklin County District Attorney Derek P. Champagne as Special Prosecutor in this case. He is due back in court on February 11.
Trooper Donah, a five-year veteran, was suspended without pay pending further investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Troop B Major Crimes Unit at 518-897-2000.
