MILTON, Vt. -
You know how they say if it rains on your wedding day, it's good luck? How about if you're a new business owner and a car smashes through the window?
That happened last night at the "Hair and Nails Express" in Milton.
I spoke exclusively with the owner, who's only been in charge for two months!

It was business as usual at the Hair and Nails Express in Milton Tuesday....
Except for the fact that a car drove through it the night before!
"One of my co-workers called me and said there's a car in the salon and that's how I found out," Salon Owner Thuan Huinh said.
When I arrived, the smashed window was boarded up, but one of the stylists show me pictures she took minutes after the crash... glass was everywhere. Huinh had a hard time believing it was true.
"I thought it was a prank at first," he said.
I asked, "it couldn't be true, right?" He replied in disbelief, "couldn't be true, yea."
"At the scene there were alcohol bottles that were found," Detective Paul Locke said.
Police say 24 year old James Carleton was drunk and speeding when he jumped the curb, nearly took out a pillar and ended up in the salon's waiting area. Since it happened at 9:30 at night, no one was inside.
"Now that you brought that up, it could have been worse," Huinh said.
Again police say speed is a contributing factor. The speed limit on the street is 25 miles per hour, but this is a parking lot and there are tire marks leading all the way up, onto the curb.
"It's rare," Detective Locke said.
The driver got out and ran but police found him hiding behind the Midtown Plaza.
"He sustained an injury to the arm and head; he was transported to Fletcher Allen by Milton Rescue," Detective Locke said.
There, he was processed and released. Police say charges will come after evidence is back from the lab. As for the owner, insurance will take care of it, and business will continue as usual.
So far no witnesses have come forward, if you happened to see or hear anything and can help investigators piece the crash together, call the Milton Police Department at 802-893-2424.
