There isn't a deadline in sight for completing rules on shale gas drilling.
The Environmental Conservation Commissioner says his agency has to wait for the health commissioner to make recommendations.
Those aren't expected for another few weeks.
If regulations aren't completed by the end of the month, the process goes back to public comment.
That, in turn, would further extend the drilling moratorium.
