The oil and gas industry is trying to ease environmental concerns regarding fracking.
Energy giant Halliburton, Inc. has developed a product called clean stim using only food-grade additives.
Fracking is a drilling process that has made it possible to tap into energy reserves across the nation, but it has raised concerns about pollution.
That's because large amounts of water, sand, and hazardous chemicals are pumped underground to free the oil and gas from rock.
It's not clear whether the non-toxic chemicals are proposed will be fully embraced by drilling companies.
