Not what snow and winter lovers want to hear, but it's probably going to happen again where we transition back to a warmer than average stretch next weekend and into the following week. (So, snow lovers, enjoy this upcoming 4-7 days of seasonably chilly winter weather).
The longer term trend looks to take a turn again as the jet stream jogs northward over the eastern US and dips way far south over the western US. The Climate Predication Center has released their latest outlook for the 6-10 day and 8-14 day period, showing high probabilities for above average temperatures.
