BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Flowers, candy, cards... they're all pretty standard Valentine's Day gifts. But how about a $30,000 teddy bear? Well, there's one for sale in downtown Burlington.

The catch? The bear's holding a six carat diamond ring!

---

He's the big hunka love bear!

"Four and a half feet of Vermont Teddy Bear awesome-ness," Vice President of Brand Marketing for Vermont Teddy Bear, Jay Bruns said.

But this Vermont Teddy Bear is one of a kind.  In his hands is a Perrywinkle's six carat diamond ring set in platinum.

"This is a unique, one of a kind cognac colored, fire-rose diamond," Jevan Fox said, Perrywinkle's Diamond Consultant.

For the two Vermont based businesses, Valentine's Day is the busiest time of year, so combining their expertise only seemed natural. The collaboration is creating quite the stir on the streets!

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend!" Two women yelled.

Another said, "Haha, they'd be saying, ya hooo!"

People all across the nation have expressed interest in the perhaps best valentine's day gift ever! ...or the "I'm sure she'll say yes engagement ring!"

"They love the idea of having a big bear to make a big reaction and a big impact on Valentine's Day," Bruns said.

So for the gentlemen... or the ladies, with $30,000 in their pocket looking to make a big impression, this may be the answer!

"Romantic, but crazy none the less," a woman said as she laughed.

That is, if your someone special is worthy.

"Well you'd have to be special to be the recipient of the ring."

But some people say their love doesn't cost a thing!

"I think there's too many other things you can do for somebody to show them that you love them, I don't think you need to do a $30,000 bear."

"Would that impress you?" A man asked the woman he was with... She said, "No, not $30,000, your love will impress me baby!" He laughed and said, "Oh my gosh!"

If the ring and the bear don't sell together, they will both still be available after Valentine's Day, but remember, there's just one!
