Hunters get ready! The Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife says it needs your help getting the state's snow geese population under control.
At the beginning of March, snow goose hunting season kicks off and runs until the end of April.
Hunters do need a permit and there are some restrictions. The permits include a hunting license, 2013 Harvest Information Program (HIP) certification, 2012 Federal Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp, 2013 Vermont Migratory Waterfowl Stamp, 2013 Spring Snow Goose Conservation Order Permit.
