SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. -
Okay, if you haven't seen this yet... you need to!
I'm talking about the palace in Saranac Lake, New York, completely made of ice.
Every year, one of the coldest towns in the nation, embraces its title and hosts the Winter Carnival.
It gets started this Friday, so preparations are underway. The palace is made from blocks of ice that are cut from the frozen lake!
"It's based on this year's theme which is under the sea, so he's carving fish, he's going to have a big octopus up by the throne, and the throne itself is made out of a big scallop shell, kind of interesting," Dean Baker said, Chairman of the Ice Palace Committee.
The Ice Palace will also light up. The Winter Carnival runs through next Sunday.
