There is an effort to make sure first responders all across Vermont are trained to spot potentially dangerous meth labs.
There are no classes at one New Hampshire school after a frozen sprinkler pipe burst on the top floor, sending water through two floors into the basement.
One official at Richards Elementary School in Newport estimated the damage might run well over $100,000.
Newport Fire Chief Wayne Conroy said at least four classrooms were heavily damaged by the water that leaked down through the ceilings Sunday. Damage also was done to the school library.
The school's fire alarm systems had to be shut down because water leaked into the system's electrical panel. Officials were planning to assess the damage to the sprinkler and alarm systems Monday.
School was canceled for Monday as the cleanup work continues. Students from preschool to 4th grade attend the school.
