Vermont's unemployment rate drops to 5.1% in December.
According to a press release, the unemployment rate was 5.2% in November 2012.
"The Vermont economy had a strong ending to 2012. The preliminary estimate of the annual 2012 unemployment rate is 5.0 percent, more than a full half of a percent lower than 2011," said Labor Commissioner Annie Noonan.
The unemployment rate in the United States for December 2012 was 7.8%.
