A new proposal maybe in the works to increase taxes by a dime a gallon on beer in the Granite state.
State representatives say this would raise more than $4 million, which would be used by the Department of Health and Human Services for alcohol treatment programs.
This proposal leaves unchanged taxes on wine and liquor.
