A close call for a 73-year-old man.
Just before noon Sunday, police say Thomas Hunt attempted to stop his car for an oncoming train in Sharon, Vt., but slid onto the tracks due to snow covered roads.
Hunt's car was struck on the passenger side and thrown about 50 feet, hitting a tree down a steep embankment.
He was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for back pain.
The train was carrying about 60 people, no one else was hurt.
