Vermont Among Best State in the Nation to Help Smokers Quit

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

Vermont is among the best state's in the nation for its efforts to help smokers quit.

According to the Rutland Herald, the Green Mountain state ranked number 10 for its funding of tobacco prevention and cessation programs.

Officials say the state succeeded in battling the prevalence of tobacco reducing its rate of use which saved the state money.

The state of Vermont spends around $4 million a year on tobacco prevention.
