BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Two teenagers were arraigned Friday for stealing and ruining vehicles in Chittenden County.

Police say 17-year-old Seamus Doolan, of Essex Junction, Vt., and 17-year-old Cody Paquette, of Burlington, Vt. are accused of stealing cars with keys left inside and then crashing and damaging them. Doolan and Paquette would abandon the vehicle and steal other unlocked vehicles within walking distance.

Police say they have been investigating numerous car thefts between November 3, 2012 and December 10, 2012. Approximately 20 cars were stolen and damaged.

Doolan and Paquette were each charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Operation without Owner's Consent.

Police say they aren't ruling out the possibility of more arrests.

Doolan was released on conditions of release and Paquette was placed into state's custody.
