RICHMOND, Vt. -

Vermont State Police responded to a four-vehicle crash on I-89 north near Exit 11 in Richmond, Vt. Wednesday morning.

Police say 23 year-old Alexander Bown, of Burlington, Vt., was driving a 2006 GMC truck and attempted to get into the left lane without yielding to a car already in the lane. Bown then sideswiped 49-year-old Donna Wright's car, a 2005 Hyundai, causing her to lose control and hit the guardrail.

Police say Wright's car turned 180 degrees and was in the middle of the lane. Stephen Haskell, 41, driving a 2001 Audi A4, wasn't able to stop and hit Wright's car.

Christina Biesadecki, 26, wasn't able to stop her 2005 BMW 325 and hit Haskell's car.

No one was injured in the multi-vehicle crash. All drivers were wearing seat belts.

Police say Bown failing to yield to Wright and that driver inattention were contributing factors in the crash.
