Snow Totals From Thursday's Snow Storm

Posted: Updated:

The latest nor'easter blanketed our region with a widespread 6-20 inches of fresh, fluffy snow.

On the left you'll find several cities and towns and their corresponding snow totals. Take into consideration that these are *unofficial* snow totals because there were a couple more inches that fell in some areas overnight Thursday to Friday.

While we post this story Friday morning, some numbers may be a tad low, as again they are unofficial. However they do paint a picture of how much snow fell out there, especially in the mountains!

The area ski resorts generally ranged from one to two *feet* of snow! There were a couple outliers including Burke Mountain getting 11" in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, to 28" of snow at Jay Peak resort.

Weather and road conditions will drastically improve Friday, especially compared to Thursday. However there may be a few icy spots remaining. That's because our SkyTracker weather forecast calls for temperatures to remain below freezing during the day and night through January 5-6, 2013. This snow will likely stay around, plus an additional accumulation Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday of this upcoming week will add to what is on the ground.
