NEWBURY, Vt. -
Vermont State Police have made an arrest in the Newbury homicide investigation.
At a press conference Wednesday afternoon, police said Anne-Marie Whiteway, 51, of Bradford, was arrested and is facing a charge of second-degree murder. She is charged with killing Dale Rock, 43, of Newbury, at his home near Doe Hill Lane on Christmas night.
Rock died from a gunshot wound to the head, police said.
Police did not release a motive at Wednesday's press conference.
Whiteway is being held at the correctional facility in Springfield. She will be arraigned in Vermont Superior Court in White River Junction on Thursday.
